Does MetroRide Kids provide school transport in Hyderabad?
Yes. MetroRide Kids runs subscription rides for children aged 3 to 16 in Hyderabad, to school, preschool, tuition and coaching classes, sports, dance and music classes and swimming. Enter your pickup address and destination in the app to check availability.
How is MetroRide Kids different from a school van or auto?
Every driver is police-verified and passes a 16-point background check and a psychometric evaluation. You can watch the ride live on video in the app, follow the car on GPS, and you get an alert when your child boards and is dropped off. Cars are small, so there are fewer stops.
How much does school transport cost?
Pricing depends on your route, timing and plan, and longer plans get bigger discounts. There is no surge pricing. You can see your exact price in the app before you pay.
What plans are available?
Monthly (20 working days), Quarterly (60 working days) and Single Ride for a trial or one-off. You choose the weekdays you need, and a private car or a shared car with up to 4 children.
What ages does MetroRide Kids serve?
Children aged 3 to 16, from preschool through high school.
Can I watch my child's ride live?
Yes. While a ride is active you can watch live video from inside the car and follow it on GPS in the MetroRide Kids app. You also get an alert when your child taps their RFID card to board and to get off.
Can a driver cancel a booked ride?
No. Drivers cannot cancel a booked ride, so a driver always comes to pick up your child.
What time will the driver arrive?
Rides run in 15-minute pickup slots that you choose in the app. Have your child ready at the start of the slot: the driver can arrive any time within it and waits 3 minutes.
What is the difference between a private car and a shared car?
A private car is dedicated to your child, and a parent or guardian may ride along. A shared car carries your child with up to three other children, and no adults ride along.
How soon can my child start?
Book before 4 PM and rides can start the next day. Bookings after 4 PM can start the day after tomorrow at the earliest.
What happens on school holidays?
Turn off the ride in the app by 12 PM the day before. It becomes a carry-forward credit within the same subscription. Only turn-offs made in the app count.
